Vo Makkay ki galiyan, Madine ke kooche - Ustad Aziz Ahmed Khan Warsi

Kitna pyara andaaz hai aur kalam bhi khoobsoorat. Bohat aala!

Vo makkay ki galiyan, Madine ke kooche
Ustad Aziz Ahmed Khan Warsi
fiza baagh-e-jannat ki sharma rahi hai

Jo chamki thi aiman pe varq-e-tajjala
tere sabz gumbad pe lehra rahi hai, Ya Muhammad

Tarapta hai dil, khoon rotin hein aakhen
tabeeyat bohat aaj ghabra rahi hai

Ilahi Madine mein ponhcha de ham ko, ham sab ko
hamein kamli wale ki yaad aa rahi hai

Khuda ne kaha Mustafa se, Dulaare
ye mairaj ki shab hei, kyon chup ho pyare

Muhammad ne farmaya, aye mere Moala
mujhay apni ummat ki yaad aa rahi hai

Ameeron ke data, ghareebon ke waali
umeedon ki jholi hai muddat se khaali

Ghareebon ki faryaad, aye kamli wale
tere zard gumbad se takkra rahi hai

Ghareebon ke wali, na rakhein ge khali
shabab aaj aya hai, ban kar sawaali

Nawaason ka sadqa, luta hein Ahmad
ghareebon ki jholi bhari ja rahi hai

jis ne jo cheez maangi, vohi tu ne dii
dar se khaali na lauta bhikari koi

Aamadey Bey Qatl-e-Mann - Amir Khusrau

   Ustad Iftekhar Ahmad Qawwal
What an amazingly beautiful recital by Ustad Iftekhar Ahmad Qawwal @ Anees Miyan's Mehfil (Urs of Hazrat Nizamuddin Auliya in 2011). A truly emotive experience.

Aamadey bey qatl-e-mann, en shokh sitamgari
Een turfa tamasha been, na karda gunah gaare

Gar nam-o-nishan-e-mann, pur sang be go qasid
Awara-o-majnoon ne, rusva sar-e-bazari

Ae isiye bimara, dar hijr-e-ranj o ram
Shayad na khabardari, az halat-e-bimari

Khwahi ke shifa baashad, beemar-e-mohbbat ra
Gar jura khuda raze, az sharbat-e-deedare

Dar lazat-e-deedar ash, khusrau che to a guftam
Sar dadam uja dadam, na deeda rukh-e-yaare

Gel Gör Beni Aşk Neyledi - Yunus Emre

Yunus Emre,  (born c. 1238, Turkey—died c. 1320, Turkey), was a poet and mystic who exercised a powerful influence on Turkish literature.

Though legend obscures the facts of his life, he is known to have been a Sufi who sat for 40 years at the feet of his master, Tapduk Emre. Yunus Emre was well versed in mystical philosophy, especially that of the 13th-century poet and mystic Jalāl ad-Dīn ar-Rūmī. Like Rūmī, Yunus Emre became a leading representative of mysticism in Anatolia but on a more popular level; he was venerated as a saint after his death.

His poems, which are devoted mainly to the themes of divine love and human destiny, are characterized by deep feeling. He wrote in a straightforward, almost austere style and mainly in the traditional syllabic metre of Anatolian folk poetry. His verse had a decisive influence on later Turkish mystics and inspired the poets of the renaissance of Turkish national poetry after 1910.

He was a contemporary of Rumi (as well as of Khusrau). Rumi composed his collection of stories and songs for a well-educated urban circle of Sufis, writing primarily in the literary language of Persian. Yunus Emre, on the other hand, traveled and taught among the rural poor, singing his songs in the Turkish language of the common people.

A story is told of a meeting between the two great souls: Rumi asked Yunus Emre what he thought of his great work the Mathnawi. Yunus Emre said, "Excellent, excellent! But I would have done it differently." Surprised, Rumi asked how. Yunus replied, "I would have written, 'I came from the eternal, clothed myself in flesh, and took the name Yunus.'" That story perfectly illustrates Yunus Emre's simple, direct approach that has made him so beloved.

Ben yürürüm yane yane
aşk boyadi beni kane
ne âkilem ne divâne
gel gör beni aşk neyledi

I’m walking, my heart ablaze...charred I’m burning!
Love painted me blood red.
left me neither sane nor mad
come, see what Love did to me

Gâh eserim yeller gibi
gâh tozarim yollar gibi
gâh akarim seller gibi
gel gör beni aşk neyledi

Sometimes as the winds, I whirl
at times as dust on the path, I drift
sometimes as swift as a flood,
come, see what Love has done to me

Miskin Yunus biçâreyim
dost ilinden âvâreyim
baştan ayaga yâreyim
gel gör beni aşk neyledi

Destitute Yunus, mystic of sorrow,
a wanderer in the Friend's realm
wounded from head to toe.
Come, see what Love has done to me

Voh Chilmun Mein Hai, Tum ho Baetab Itne - Ghulam Kibriya Abdul Rauf Qawwal

Discovered another beautiful one. No need to to describe or translate this one.
It is fairly simple to understand and I found it quite charming. Enjoy!

Voh chilmun mein hai, tum ho baetab itne
jo chilmun uthha dee to phir kya karo ge

Tumhare dillon per achanak kisi ne
jo bijli gira di to phir kya karo ge

Unhein tum se mana muhabbat hai, laikin
bacho in haseeno ki tirchhi nazar se

Muhabbat ki shae per jafa ki chhuri bhi
tumhi per chala di to phir kya karo ge

Jawani bhi fitna fitna, adayen bhi fitna
murravvat bhi os ki, muhabbat bhi fitna

Qayamat mein os fitnagar ne nayii ik
qayamat uthha di to phir kya karo ge

Arre phir bhi ye bhi, tumhara ye alam
behekne lage lardkharane lage ho

Sharab-e-nazar jo piyalon mein os ne
zara si mila di to phir kya karo ge

Unhe tum se kitni muhabbat hai Asif
tumhari wafa per bhi naazaan hein leikin

Tumhari wafa bhi, yunhi chutkiyon mein
Uchhali urda di to phir kya karo ge

~ Ghulam Kibriya Abdul Rauf Qawwal
---------------------
with all kinds of amazing girahs.....

Uthhata hai rukh se vo niqab aahista aahista
ke doob mashriq se nikle aftaab aahista aahista

Ye achhi raazdari hai, ye achhi parda-dari hai
ke jo aa jaye un ki bazm mein deevana ho jaye abhi vo

Aag lag jaye gi pani mein, chaman jal jaye ga
Ik hangama bapa hoye ga, tum baam per hone to do

Voh huwe parda nasheen anjumanara ho ker
reh gaye ham hamatan chashm-e-tamana ho ker

Voh ye kehte hein hamari hasher samani na poonch
ham ye kehte hein tu chilmun to uthha, jo ho so ho bas

Aik muddat se tamana thi jamal-e-yaar ki
saamne aaye to daikhein ham bhi qaatil ko aaj

Abhi voh chilmun mein hai ham phir hein baechain se
aa gaye baam pe to daikh lena mehfil ka rung

Aye Yaar-e-Naazneen Dil-o-Jaanam Fida-e-Tou - Khwaja Qutubuddin Bakhtiyar Kaki

Janam fidaye payat ay jane zindagani
Kon ba yak neghah-e sad umr-e-jawedani

O Life of my life, sacrifice I my life at thy feet
Immortality give to me by looking but once
Towards me

Aye yar-e-naazneen dil-o-jaanam fida-e-tou
Gar dil mara deegarna nasheenad baja-e-tou

O Beloved, my life I give up for you
If no other rests beside me besides you

Az tegh-o-teer-e-ishq baya khun-e-man bareez
Chun qas ba zindagee na shavad aashna-e-tou

Let my blood flow from the barbs and spears of love
by living can one be aware of Thee

Ba daulat-e-visal barabar nami kunad
Ba Khusarvi-e-mulk-e-sulaiman  gada-e-tou

The treasure of union does not equalize
The Khosrow like reign of Sulaiman, a begger at Thy door

Yek jo nasha na mang day  hastee Qutabuddin
Fani shud as khud ashke bay bad laqaee tu

Qutbuddins soul  seek not that one intoxication
Into oblivion he went in tears, in search of his union with Thee
