Aankh se door na ho, dil se utar jaaye ga
Waqt ka kya hai, guzarta hai, guzar jaaye ga,

Itna maayus na ho, Khilvat-e-Gham se apni,
Tu kabhi Khud ko bhi dekhe ga, to Dar jaaye ga,

Tum sar e raah-e-wafaa dekhte rah jaao ge,
Aur wo baam-e-rafaaqat se utar jaye ga,

Zindagi teri aata hai, to ye jaane waala,
Teri bakhsheesh teri dehleez pe dhar jaye ga,

Doobte doobte kashti to ochalaa de doon,
Main nahi koi to, saahil pe utar jaaye ga,

Zabt laazim hai magar, dukh hai qayaamat ka Faraz,
Zaalim ab ke bhi na, roye ga to mar jaye ga
