آج جانے كی ضد نہ كرو

This is not your typical sufi music, but the كلام (kalam) is full of درد (dard).

It was composed and directed by Sohail Rana, a pre-eminent musician from Pakistan. Sohail Rana originally hails from Utter Pardesh, the birthplace of Hazrat Ameer Khusro.

The singer is Shafqat Amanat Ali Khan, arguably the best voice in South Asia today.

Enjoy:

I would like to see him singing more classical, which is his training. That will help him mature as a singer. He sings effortlessly, and has a lovely voice, but his songs have a tendency to sound very similar.
