Jab Ishq Sikhata hai, Adaab e Khuda gahi
Khultey hein Ghulamon par Asrar e Shehenshahi

Attar ho, Rumi ho, Razi ho, Ghazali ho
Kuchh Haath Nahin Aata, Bey Aah e Sehergahi

Ae Taair e Lahooti, os Rizk se Moat Achhi
Jiss Rizq se Aati ho, Parvaaz Mein Kotahi

Dara o Sikandar se, wo Mard e Faqir ola
Ho jiss ki Faqiri mein Boo e Asadullahi

Aeene Jawan Mardan Haq Goee o Beybaki
Allah ke Sharon ko, Aati Nahin Roobahi

جب عشق سکھاتا ہے آداب خود آگاہي

جب عشق سکھاتا ہے آداب خود آگاہي
کھلتے ہيں غلاموں پر اسرار شہنشاہي


عطار ہو ، رومي ہو ، رازي ہو ، غزالي ہو
کچھ ہاتھ نہيں آتا بے آہ سحر گاہي


نوميد نہ ہو ان سے اے رہبر فرزانہ!
کم کوش تو ہيں ليکن بے ذوق نہيں راہي


اے طائر لاہوتي! اس رزق سے موت اچھي
جس رزق سے آتي ہو پرواز ميں کوتاہي


دارا و سکندر سے وہ مرد فقير اولي
ہو جس کي فقيري ميں بوئے اسد اللہي


آئين جوانمردں ، حق گوئي و بے باکي
اللہ کے شيروں کو آتي نہيں روباہي


Translation:
-

When the love of God teaches self-awareness,
To slaves are revealed the secrets known to kings.

Be it Attar, Rumi, Razi or Ghazali the great.

There is no success, without plaints and yearnings.

O leader of men, despair not of their worth,
Loyal to thee thy followers are, though sluggish.

O ethereal bird! It is better to starve to death,
Than to live on a prey that clogs thy wings in flight.

Better than Darius and Alexander is the fakir,
Whose piety has the attributes of ‘The Tiger of God.’

Ho jis ki faqeeri mein bu-a asad-e-illahi

Aaine jawaan-marde haq-goi O be-baqi

Allah ke sheron ko aati nahi robahi
