Aayi Kyon Hichkiyaan Nahin Maloom

In loving memory of Ustad Iftekhar Ahmad Nizami sb (grandfather of Subhan Bilal Hilal Qawwal)
we held a small and intimate gathering to recite his favorite poetry.

The folks at The Dream Journey certainly enjoyed the collection of old ghazals that Subhan
had prepared for the baithak. There were six others sung that day and I'm hoping that we
will get to see all of them soon.

Khwaja-e-Man Qibla-e-Man - in devotion to Hazrat Moinuddin Chishti

Subhan Ahmed Nizami (grandson of Ustad Iftekhar Ahmed Nizami Khansaheb) recites "Khwaja-e-Man Qibla-e-Man" in devotion and praise of Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti.

Kaisi khubsoorat ibteda hai wah. Khub dil laga ke kalam pardha hai. Awaaz achhee aur andaaz bhi achha. The style is close to the original classical form, though I wish that the level of mix were softer. As the recital progresses the sound level is a bit high and a little harsh on the ears. Still I wish we had access to the full recital. Subhan mian mashallah bohat achha! keep it up!
