Bullah shah hai dohi jehane, koi na na dasda ghair

Door tak chhayae thay baadal, or kahin sayaa na tha
Iss tarha barsaat ka mousam, kabhi aaya na tha

Kya milla aakhir tujh ko bata, saayon kay peechay bhag ker
Aye dil-e-nadaan tujh ko, hum nay samjhaya na tha

Uff ye sannata, kay aahut tak na ho jiss mein mukhal
Zindgi mein iss qadar, hum nay sakoon paaya na tha

Khoob roye chhupp kay ghar ki, chaar deevaari mein hum
Haal-e-dil kehnay kay qabil, koi humsaaya na tha

Ho gaye qallaash jab say, aas ki doulat lutti
Paas apnay or tu, koi bhi sarmaaya na tha

Voh paighember ho kay aashiq, qatul gaah-e-shouq mein
Taaj kaanton ka kissay, duniya nay pehnaaya na tha

Ab khulla jhoonkon kay peechay, chal rahi thin aandhiyan
Ab jo manzar hay, voh pehlay tu nazar aaya na tha

Sirf khushboo ki kami thi, moasam-e-gul mein Qateel
Verna gulshan mein koi bhi phool murjhaya na tha

Iss tarha barsaat ka mousam, kabhi aaya na tha.......
